Program Highlights
In Ethiopia, both sexes of children are available. Infants, toddlers and older children are available for adoption. Children typically become available for adoption due to the devastation of poverty, effects of war, civil strife, or their parents might have died from an illness.

| Full Explanation of Fees |Ethiopia requires post adoption reports to be conducted by an adoption professional at the following intervals:
In addition to the above, starting with the second anniversary of the child coming home (24 months), parents must submit an annual self-written post adoption report until the child reaches the age of 18.
Four notarized copies of each report, whether written by an adoption professional or the parent, must be submitted PER CHILD. A set of at least six pictures must be submitted with each copy of the report submitted. Pictures should include a family picture, family life pictures, pictures of the child by him/herself, a picture of the child in his/her bedroom and if applicable, a picture of the child as his/her school.
Fees associated with post-adoption reports are established by the adoption professional composing the report and are not paid to or through CCI (except in the case that CCI is the adoption professional conducting the report).
Traveling to Ethiopia
Ethiopia is a beautiful country, rich in history and culture. Never having been colonized, Ethiopia is one the world's oldest nations.
Ethiopia's people, though poor, are some of the friendliest anywhere. It is very pro-Western and is a relatively safe place to travel for you and your family.
Traveling to Ethiopia is easy. British Airways has weekly flights, and Ethiopian Airlines, a first-class and child-friendly airlines flies regular flights out of Washington, D.C.
NOTE: Before traveling to any country, travelers should always check the Center for Disease Control's website for that country. Click here for a link to the CDC's information about Ethiopia. Further travel information can be found on the Department of State's Ethiopia page by clicking here.

Ethiopia was one of the poorest nations I have ever visited, but also one of the richest in regards to culture. Share my journey through my photos of the capital and beyond.
